Family Photos

Photos are so important to me.  I never realized how much memory is collected in a photo.   Often, when talking to friends about events, I can hardly remember which day of the week I'm talking about.  But photos have a way of jogging that old memory and helping us to think of important or at least poignant moments in our lives.  It's not so important to remember which day of the week it is--but it is important to remember why we were there and with whom.
Our impromptu trip to Liberty State Park was organized because daddy wanted to cook the Thanksgiving Day meal with a little peace and quiet; a rare commodity in a house with two children and my side of the family worrying about what time we will eat.  So coats on, dogs' leashes secured, into the cars we piled to take a walk.  It was a great day to stroll around the empty park and enjoy a little fresh air before the large meal.  An even greater joy to come home to a wonderful, hot meal!
